Flea Treatment

The domestic pest control expert you can trust.

Flea infestations have been on the increase in recent years. These blood-sucking critters can easily hitch a ride on your clothing and infest your home. The insects are notorious for their hardiness and their ability to go unnoticed, which makes them difficult to deal with.

Hence, a timely expert flea treatment is a must to avoid serious health problems and put a stop to an infestation getting out of hand. We will deal with the problem.

Signs of a Flea Infestation

Bites
Flea bites are one of the most noticeable signs of an infestation. They often appear as small, red, itchy bumps — usually on the lower legs and ankles. In some cases, the bites may form clusters or lines. Bites can cause irritation and allergic reactions, particularly in children and pets.

Pets Scratching
If you have pets, excessive scratching, biting, or grooming may indicate the presence of fleas. You might also spot fleas moving through your pet’s fur or notice black specks (flea dirt) on their skin or bedding.

Flea Dirt
Flea droppings, commonly referred to as “flea dirt,” resemble fine black pepper. These are often found on pet bedding, carpets, or upholstered furniture. When placed on damp tissue, the droppings will turn reddish-brown — a clear sign they contain digested blood.

Sightings
Although fleas are small (usually 1–3mm), they can sometimes be seen jumping or crawling on carpets, furniture, or even clothing. Their quick movements make them hard to catch, but a heavy infestation will usually make them more visible.

Eggs and Larvae
Flea eggs are tiny, white, and oval-shaped. They are laid in large numbers and can fall into carpets, cracks in flooring, and soft furnishings. The larvae, which hatch from these eggs, hide in dark, undisturbed areas of the home.
